In a somewhat small nursery I made a bed that can be raised and lowered with a winch. A desk then appears under the bed

Custom floating bed!

I saw the plates at TOSIZE.co.uk. Then I had beech beams of 40x40 mm planed. I have milled grooves in the beams where the plates fit. The whole glued together. Then the mechanism started. After many hours of adjusting and measuring, I incorporated a counterweight behind the bed, so that the bed moves back and forth fairly lightly using the winch. The end result may be there if I say so myself
