We bought these beautiful coffee tables. We never thought about it not having a bottom, because we wanted to store things in it. The top was also screwed down and could therefore not be opened and closed. Thanks to TOSIZE.it we were able to create a nice base. The end result is a coffee table with a base and a removable table top. So really nice storage space. And I must honestly admit that they look even better than before.

How I made this project

At TOSIZE.it we ordered two circles with the correct diameter. We unscrewed the mango wood table tops. We sanded the four circles to a mirror finish and gave them the same color with three layers of whitewash varnish. We have now screwed the ordered circles to the barrel, at the location of the table top, and turned the barrel upside down. They now form the bottom. The mango wood top is loose and cannot slide off due to small pieces of wood that we have glued to it in a circle.
