Description

I have a piano, a workstation and a lot of stuff for my business. All this, of course, takes up space. Now that there is a child and the top floor has now become a playground, I thought that the piano should make room for a desk. However, a shallow desk is difficult to sit and a desk that is too deep takes up a lot of space. Here came the plan: - A desk based on IKEA BESTA blocks - Piano should fit in - Desk part should be foldable to create a mini-room - Where possible, there should be as much storage space in the desk as possible. - If possible, space for a robot vacuum cleaner, printer, 2 laptops and screens. - All cables concealed The whole is 1.8 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. When it unfolds it is also 1.8 meters deep, but closed it is max 40.0 cm and only the piano protrudes 52.0 cm.

Work description: how did you realize your project

- The base consists of 2 IKEA Besta blocks of 60.0 cm - Here is a 40.0 x 180.0 cm desktop on this desktop carries both the piano and a modified Besta cabinet (these cabinets are effectively made of cardboard at the top and bottom so bottom and roof replaced by an TOSIZE.co.uk plate - On this is a turntable from Probeslag: Turntable round large Item number: DIS993 this can bear 200KG - The desktop protrudes over the piano to a panel with wheels underneath. These each carry 50kg (4 wheels) so I have a total of about 400KG to distribute (not that it will be that heavy) - On top of the desktop is a display carrier and 6 narrow (20.0 cm deep cabinets) where the desk comes behind.

Final size: What are the outer dimensions?

180.0 × 180.0 × 40.0 (52 with piano)
