A freestanding refrigerator cabinet, doors and drawer fronts for an IKEA Metod kitchen cabinet and shelves and free-hanging drawers that double as a coffee bar.

Work description: how did you realize your project

Two IKEA Metod 60/200 (40.0 cm deep) cabinets serve as the base for the project. A wall cabinet (40.0 cm/80.0 cm) is placed on the side, which serves as a drawer unit for a coffee bar. We have shortened these in height and hung them up with extra slats for support. The refrigerator is staggered in the wall. We used the plywood as cladding and fronts. For the placement of the hinges in the doors and suspension points of the drawer fronts, we used an existing IKEA door and front as a template. With a router you can easily take over the holes. The side panel for the refrigerator is attached to the floor and wall with mounting brackets. The plywood is finished with OSMO Topoil 3028. Due to the suction power of this material, several layers are necessary for a good result. Tip: 'sanding' between coats with unprinted newspaper will give a smoother result.

Final size: What are the outer dimensions?

208cm by 60/40cm. 1 (60) deep part for the refrigerator that turns into a (40) shallow part.
